I was completing my 2013 Income Taxes last night and had a pleasant surprise....:wtf:

The State of Georgia gives a "Retirement" adjustment to your Federal Adjusted Gross Income when you turn 62 !!!! :yo:

No other requirement...just have a 62nd birthday and lower your taxable income..:nerd:

I had no idea....suddenly I feel better about getting older. :smoking:

I was also surprised, but not pleasantly. Currently -15K$ at the Federal level and +12K$ at State. This has been a hard year to perform any tax planning.
