Just putting blackbruty away for winter, salt will be down soon. 4800 Miles from new in January. Not a huge milage, but thats been the length of Spain and back and 3 Trackdays in the last couple of months. Had 2 services, swapped to sportec M1's (120/70 front) and fitted the Arrows midpipe. Only thing wrong is I've just lost one retaining rubber band on the bars. Also he runs far better when Forza balance the throttle bodies, 10 min job they do for me as needed. At the last trackday spent an entire day in the intermediate group and got passed 3 times all day, having ridden there and back on the bike and just taped up the lights, passing hordes of trackday specials all day.

I am so pleased with this bike (thank god I traded in a one month old K1200R) and already starting to plan next years adventures, hopefully get Fafnir out on her redbruty for a long trip to the factory. All I can do is to hope you all had as good a year on your Brutes as I did.

Some pics Warning I look like a Hippo on a skateboard, not for the weak of nerves!

ah....
what a great thread
i'm sorry that you have to put her away
sounds like the beginning of a wonderful love affair
great shots

enjoy your winter... and please stick around this place, even if you aren't riding
Thanks, wanted to share that I've had a great year with this bike. We had a Laverda jota for 10 years and have gone through 40 odd bikes searching for another that hits the sweet spot over and over again....this is the one for both of us. (Apart from a 910R just keeps shouting `Hey Over Hear` at me, Fafnir is immune though - thank God!).

Winter means confined to an old zzr for a 95mile daily commute - then a car :jsm: . Hope yours is short and you can keep riding for much longer [ edited: Umm Florida? Would think so then! Lucky ]

I tend to lurk around but not a great one for posting I'm afraid.

Beautiful Bike there, Blackbruty :)

I'm glad you changed that K1200R as well, and that you've had a great year :).

I've not ridden my red Brutale that much this year - been caught up with commuting on the CB500 too much, but hopefully next year we can plan some good adventures - even to the factory, maybe.

No 910 for me though, a 750 is more than enough!

Nice post Blackbruty and great pictures. :smoking: I would love to live in a place where I can ride 365 days of the year in warm sunshine but I do feel you appreciate your bike(s) more when you have an enforced lay-off through the winter months, it makes that first ride in the Springtime sooooo special and it gives me time to think of mods and changes I want to do to the bike during the non riding season. :drummer: Then again it would be nice to have the two homes, :) to retreat South for the winter like the birds do. (Off He goes again!!!) :wtf:
