I notice that's my Turismo Veloce has a different noise in N, as when I pull the clutch and engage 1st gear. Is this normal..??
I'm not sure it sounds different.

Perfectly normal. Pulling the the clutch disengages the layshaft in the gearbox, this eliminates the rumble of the gears. Noticeable on virtually all bikes but particularly so on the TV. Not sure about other MVs but I'd be pretty confident that all 800s, at the least, exhibit this level of noise.

Yes it is normal. You don't even have to engage a gear. Just pull the clutch and you'll notice the different noise.

Quite normal in most motorbikes. Ever heard one of the older ducatis with an open dry clutch? That was a great sound!!!
