What are my fellow 910R owner's going to do if MV doesn't come through with the promised "full race exhaust" as stated in the ad on the MV Agusta USA web site?

I just went to MV's USA web site and they have changed the verbage on the 910R description. They are now stating an "open exhaust option" instead of "full race system" as stated before. I hope that we aren't going to get screwed. It looks like they may be positioning a little bit now!!!

I'm not expecting a full Titanium system (headers, midpipe and rear exhaust) all I want is a midpipe to get rid of that silly Cat and some open exhaust so the bike can sing like a proper Italian should. :cross:

I honestly did not expect a titanium system but a "full system" is typically from the head pipes back. I am a little worried due to the delay and the varied answers regarding what actually is going to be provided.

I would/will be upset and would definitely take some sort of action if the full race exhaust does not come with my R. Honestly, it's the biggest justifying factor in the price difference between the R and the 910S. Plus, it would be false advertising. As you guys said, I'm not expecting the full Ti system. Stainless headers, midpipe, and Ti silencers is what they sell as the race exhaust on the website so that's what we should expect. Just my two cents.

I think I posted this message other 3 or 4 times but, again, what You are going to receive, starting from mid May, is the full collector system plus the relative MV Corse Eprom: You got the promised 144 hp. No silencers.

If You order the same system (1050 Euros in Italy) by Yourself You got it immediately... don't ask me why...

So I ask this to all of you. When you read, hear, etc. full race exhaust included with, what do you think? The first thing I'm thinking is new silencers (Ti). The next thing I'm thinking is midpipe and headers. I know nothing is set in stone and we won't know until we receive our "full race exhaust" but it is starting to bug me. Don't like the feeling of not getting what I should or what I was supposed to.

Andrea Tamburini is the general Manager of MV Corse: he stated that every owner of Brutale 910R is going to receive (delivery dates depends on MV Agusta in Varese but nobody expects anything before mid May) the INOX racing full collector system (including de-cat and excluding silencers) with the dedicated Eprom. This is it.

If in the US You have different rules the only info You can get are from the US importer/distributor of MV Agusta.

Hereby a picture from the web site of MV Corse to show You exactly what You are going to receive (this is the Titanium version: the only difference is that You are going to receive the inox one).

I don't understand this. I ordered the MV Corsa inox headers and midpipe exhaust (it now appears under performance parts for the Brutale on mvagusta.com) for my 910 and it is sitting at the dealer ready to be installed. I doubt they have produced a completely seperate one for the 910R. So what could possibly be the holdup? Unless maybe it is the eprom. My dealer said the exhaust did not come with an eprom even though the website says it comes with one. I don't care since I am going with a PC.

Anucci,

what You can see in the MV-Corse web site and what You ordered is EXACTLY what everybody else is going to get for their 910R: nothing more nothing less.

I'm only surprised that You are not going to get the MV Corse Eprom that is part of the kit. I understand that You can manage it because You use a PC to create Your map but... for the other owners it's not OK as the Eprom is quite important to get the best out of this kit.

sounds like a good marketing strategy for MV to get 910r owners to spend some more $$$ on the EPROM... :naughty:

Having owned MV's since 2000 I look at things slightly cynically, with regard to the 910R exhaust, why would they want to give you one with the bike for free, when they can sell it to someone else for cash? I have every reason to believe you will get one, but only when they have enough to sell AND supply with new bikes.
The UK importer is going absolutely nuts at the moment because the MV factory has sold about 30 F4 1000's DIRECT to an independant UK importer!! who has now discounted them by about £3500!! talk about the sh*t hitting the fan...............

I think its an "Italian" thing, sometimes they seem a little short on the morals front, I have every reason to believe that if you turned uo at Varese with a large pocket of cash you would come away with a bike, I spoke to a bloke who had done the exact same thing. A friend of mine owns a large chain of retail M/C clothing outlets, he wanted to stock some Dainese gear, the importer refused as did the factory, but they didn't refuse when he turned up with a large lorry and a larger pocket of cash!! I think its just the way they do things, probably perfectly natural to them, and they would wonder why everyone is surprised!! :naughty:

fuckin' Italians....

If they didn't make such nice cars and bikes, they would be of no use!

You got to hand to the Japanese(Yamaha).... this whole R6 redline fiasco showed they made an attempt.

Those Italians don't give a shit after the fact.....

Hey, hey, hey. Easy on the Italian bashing. I have a lot of vowels in my last name.
