910R...1078RR..autumn ride (Pics galore)

Well...
i took out my 1078RR today and just wanted to share with you what a GREAT moment it was.

Still breaking the babe in...only 200 Kms on the Odometer today. The bike's torque is indecent. I never exceeded 6500RPM but the unbelievable torque makes you feel like you can drive the Beast constantly under 6000RPM if you want to...like a big V-Twin.

Compared to my 910R, the difference in power is striking especially at low rpm. Again, oh my God the torque on the 1078RR :wtf:...I'm not a wheelie expert but i had a hard time keeping the front wheel on the ground. I just can't imagine how it would feel to rev the engine up to red zone at 13-14.000RPM.

Just an anecdote that'll tell you more about the torque on the1078RR. I went on a little road where i usually try to pull a wheelie or 2. I downshift a couple of gears to get ready to wheelie the 1078RR...and i twist the throttle. The bike grunts and the front wheel wants to go home like E.T. :f4:

There i'm thinking..."well, yeah, not bad but pretty much feels like the 910R". Then, i stop and park the bike to take a few pics.
Hehehehehe....guess what? I WAS IN 2ND GEAR!!!!!! :jsm:

SlipperClutch is a real plus over the 910R's shitty Engine Breaking System. With the 1078RR you can feel the engine breaking and the slipperclutch will intervene in a very discrete but efficient manners.

The gearbox on the 1078RR is a tad harder but gives a good feeling. I hit a fake neutral between 5th and 6th a couple of times...maybe it will be better once the Beast is broken in properly.

The NEW Brembo brakes on the 1078RR could stop a truck. I didn't know you could brake any harder than on the 910R.

Overall, the 1078RR feels softer...more civilized. Power comes hard but in a much mor linear way. The 910R delivers what it's got with a lack of good manner.

Suspensions on the 1078RR are way softer....way-way softer. I didn't believe that i could one day feel comfy from that standpoint on a Brute. The 910R is more a track bike when it comes to suspension. Even after changing my settings much softer, the 910R still fees harder then than the new 1078RR. The extra travelling in the Marzocchi fork of the 1078RR is a real plus for bumpy roads riding.

Well, my friends...there you go for now. I'll write a longer report when the bike will be broken in and when i'll explore the 2nd half of the Rev'board :smoking:

Now, I gotta figure out how I'm gonna upgrade my 910R for a 1078 in this shitty economy.

custom made rearsets by one of our partners....
not sure that we'll put them on our site though because the price is a bit high.

Work still in progress :) More mods will come soon !
It was a great day. Hopefully we'll have more sunny days in the weeks to come.

P.S: am i normal feeling that by taking the 1078RR for a ride it's like i'm cheating on my 910R ? :wtf:

You will get used to it... it was the same with my Brutale. But It´s another thing with F4 and Brutale (like Diva and Ms.Fitness :smoking: )

Ebs?

The reason you weren't satisfied with the EBS on the Brutale 910R is likely due to the fact that Brutales were not equipped with this system. Only the F4's feature the EBS.
No doubt though, the slipper clutch must be an improvement nonetheless.

You're right! Only the F4 had that system indeed. My bad.
The anti-pollution valve system of the 910R can however still be felt and somehow gives that impression of sudden very low engine breaking. It's not EBS though, it's true.
Because of that system, it even seems that the 750 has more engine breaking power than the 910R.
The slipperclutch is much better anyway :)
