Now that we have B3 available in 800cc, has anyone got opinions, or better yet actual experience comparing the new three cylinder bikes to yesterday's B4 750cc machines? Relative performance? Handling? Aesthetics? Build quality/fit and finish?

Fixed for stupidity.....

Randarosa,
Allready had the chance to see the B3 800 in all its new colors (Italia too) in the flesh. Bikes look stunning. Build quality is not as high as the B4's in my opinion. But it really looks like an MV should look like. it is very compact and looks like a small bike (which it is). But when you get to sit on it, it all makes sence. Very light. 125HP for a bike that weights 167kg (fluids included) is a garanty for loads of fun. Oh and the exhaust note is heavenly.

The white version with the red tail is very beautiful.
But the stunner for me is the Italia version.
Looks very aggressive and yet refined in the white/blue colors.
A road test will give the answer....

Or, you wait 2 years for the F3 800.... :smoking:

Launch report from Andy Downes MCN who had a Brutale 920 for 10 months in 2011,including riding it back from the factory.

The 920 has effectively been replaced by the 800 tested here. Power is almost the same but the new 800 is lighter by around 20kg and has, from this experience, the performance edge. Its certainly better handling .
His verdict.....This is not a bike for novices:the power to weight ratio makes for some seriously impressive performance. The engine is a dominant part of the package and has grunt in any gear with soaring revs on tap, too.

So it will probably slaughter a B4 750 performance and handling wise . Definitely wins on looks and sound
I dont think a B4 750 would see which way a B3 675 went.

It may be 2 years before an F3 800 hits US shores but I expect Europe
will have them soon. :wtf:

Personally I prefer the looks of the original B4, as does my wife. She bought a second hand 750s over a new 675 B3. Build quality also seems to be better on the older Brute's, but then again the newer B3's have had to be built down to a price to make them economically viable and competitive with the other manufacturers. Can't argue with 167kg and 125 bhp though. Bloody impressive!!

I recently see a brand new in my dealer (a B3 800), the sticker on the frame says only 86dB compare to 106dB for a F3....the motor don't revs the same , there is not so easy to compare, I met a futur onwer, he comes from a rsv 2000, 56 old, we will see his feel, I'll visit me , I tell you his comments...
