Anyone running a 40T rear sprocket on a Brutale?

I'm torn between getting a 40T and 41T sprocket. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

They're geared too short anyway. I'd have to think that adding a tooth would help quite a bit. It depends on how much you'd like to change the gearing, and if you're short-shifting it a lot for your riding style. It definitely has enough power to use a 41T.

eh? it sounds like you have it backwards.

I'm running a 41T rear and I like it a lot!

But I think more than that would be excessive. 41T still rolls up in first and still goes like stink!

The bike (stock) is geared too short IMO.

But 41 or 42 will be sufficient IMO.

Remember, the F41000's are running a 39T rear... but they're 160 horsepower!

Getting closer to 39.... and you might be asking a lot out of the engine.

Doesn't the F4 have a 14 tooth front sprocket though? I'm sure the F4 has different transmission ratios though.

14/39 = 0.359 (3% taller than stock)

15/40 = 0.375 (7% taller than stock)
15/41 = 0.366 (5% taller than stock)
15/43 = 0.349 (stock)
