Took 1st ride today on my new 2015 F4. East coast USA winter is lingering. Coming from my daily rider 07' CBR10000RR (last model of no electronics and no slipper clutch).
My thoughts on the F4.
Everything went well. Bike performed as expected. EAS is flawless. upshifting is smoother than my Honda using the clutch! Handling as stock is predictable and instills confidence. Turn in is very consistent regardless of speed (sharp, sweeping, tight) did not matter. It was very easy to predict.
Even on the base model (2015 USA ABS) brakes are great on the street. Brake lever feel with ABS is soft when sitting parked. On the road, initial bite is good and the pull is consistent, all with 1 finger!
Left hand controls for traction control , etc. work well and are easy to use (i've been told this is better on the mew models).

Suspension felt really good stock for me. Roads here at this time are filled with pot holes and chops. I am 190lb rider, aggressive rider (i can hold my own on the street but no race track experience). After it breaks in a few adjustments may need to be made.

Any issues for me was from the change to new Throttle By Wire from cable style. I realized just how much throttle control means. That was after i switched to sport mode.

As far as loose bolts and any of that. Well my bike came torqued marked on most of them and any mods that i have done i loc-tighted all the bolts. Just what you do. Too early for me to give any feedback on electronics.

Also, ongoing about auto blipper downshift. My bike will downshift with no clutch, but it does not auto blip. It does down shift no problem with out clutch but you have to use the throttle and "blip" yourself. There was no forcing. If it down shifts it shifts, simple as that. I just used the clutch for good measure.

I am posting this for anyone looking to purchase a new MV and just wants help with any questions.

Good to see MV is still selling that "auto blipper" which just does not work for anyone.

PS. That 10 000RR Honda must have been very fast

I've take my new 2015 F4R out for a couple of short rides and really like the feel of the bike. However, I did encounter an issue when down shifting, while using the clutch, from 2nd gear to 1st gear. The bikes displays an N on the display when shifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear, but when letting off the clutch the bike surges forward as if it is still in gear. I've encounter this issue twice and fortunately i'm experienced enough to engage the clutch to prevent any accidents. The problem doesn't happen when upshifting from 1st to Neutral only when moving at a slow speed down shifting from 2nd to 1st gear it seems to be a consistent problem.

I've had that happen a few times on both my 12 and 13 F4's. I've just learned to be very careful about where the transmission is before dropping the clutch, regardless of what the indicator shows.
