The Island Classic is an international event for pre 1990 motorcycles conducted at Phillip Island, Australia. This year the event attracted over 350 riders with just under 500 bikes. Included as part of the schedule is the International Challenge which this year featured teams from the USA, UK, New Zealand and Australia with quite a few elite riders participating. These included Cam Donald (Isle of Man winner), Steve Martin (WSB), Ryan Farquhar, John McGuinness & Jeremy Mc Williams.
Whilst most of the bikes competeing are British or Japanese there are a few Italians present. This year I managed to obtain a media pass allowing access to the restricted areas of the circuit where I attempted to photograph the Italian race bikes along with a couple of the international challenge racers.
