Hello guys,

Thanks for accepting me into the group.

I have been thinking about getting my first motorcycle in US and am liking the F3 675 a lot from what I have read in the forums. I have owned motorcylces in the past but that is in India with 250ccs and riding in US is should be an entirely new experience. Hence I would like to regard myself as a beginner, but I am a very safe rider and think the MV should suit me as the first ride. I would like to get your feedback on this prospect. Most of the riding should be in Seattle with occasional trips, mostly one day trips. Any comments or the pillion comfort would be welcome as well.

I have found that the dealers in Bellevue, WA are offering the 2013 F3 675 for $10999 and I think that is a very sweet deal. I see that most of the issues with F3s are sorted out based on the forum comments and I expect the same F3 being a two year old platform. Should I take the 2013 model or go for the 2014 model? Any insights into the same would be much appreciated.

Any comments on the servicing costs and spare parts also would be helpful to me at this point. I cannot see my buying anything other than the F3 but a vote of confidence would not be bad :)

The only thing you would be missing with the 2013 over the 2014 would be the slipper clutch. With the money you save on the 2013 you could buy a nice slipper clutch and still pay $2000 less than a 2014. I only have two more words for you. Get it!

Welcome Don!

The F3 is actually my FIRST bike. I absolutely love it, suits me perfectly. Issues will or might not come, even if it does, you need a great and experienced service shop around. I mean, what in the world doesn't have issues anyways? Whatever bugs I've had, has been LONG gone and this baby runs like a champ. It's truly a work of art on two of the most sexiest wheels. That passenger seat is no bueno though. The comfort is terrible (narrow and stiff as hell)...on a side note the F4's passenger seat is wonderful and that bike runs like a freakin smooth bullet. Test it out!! (The F3) I'm sure you would love it too, good luck!!
