Today was a very disappointing day. After 45 years of believing in humanity and trusting people, I've decided that I was a fool to trust people. No more.

Bought 2010 MV F4. Drove almost 15 hours return trip. The guy told me bike runs fine and just battery is dead. Brought the bike home, put new battery in and to my disappointment, bike won't start. Just imagine the disappointment.

Anyway, bike makes a clicking sound like battery is out of charge. It is brand new and I charged it again to make sure optimum performance but still nothing. Tried to jump start it with my car, engine turns over twice and dies. I have no idea what's wrong with it. MV service center is 2 hours away and I want to exhaust all options before going that route. Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard.
Going to need a little more information.
Does the startup procedure run correctly? I.e. The tachometer sweep, fuel pump priming etc. the Ok message come up on the panel?
has the bike sat for some time?
Did you see it running?
Does it turn over at all? I.e. Not seized.

Have you checked the connections to the battery, solenoid and starter motor?

Alright, first, welcome to this madhouse...

Second, check the polarity of the connections you made with the new battery.
Many have gone before you and reversed the polarity of the connections.

The battery lies on its side with the negative (-) terminal forward!
