yes its true ,they are gonna get rid of most of their dealers and have what theyre calling super dealers , where a particular dealer will look after a certain region, this maens of course that you will have to go further field to have your mv serviced etc ,but i was told that it will be the dealers responsibility to pick up and return your bike from your home has part of this service so well wait and see............

I couldn't agree more! They are passionate about the brand and its future, professional and prompt, all this allied with a ‘can do’ attitude in the parts department, it can only bode well for MV as a brand and us as dealers in the UK!

it wasn't a straight forward order i must say perhaps it being a warranty claim, and having to be authorized might have held it up, plus you can't say how quick the dealer was to follow things up. so perhaps your right and they are doing a good job, i shall reserve my comments for the next i order a normal part, sorry for any bad feelings. moto GB:green:

Hi there Joanne, I am picking up a secondhand 2006 Brutale 910s next week, and I did notice that the seal on the headlight has obviously gone and muck etc gathered in the bottom of the lense. I did not know that this was an issue, the dealer is going to clean and rebond the lense back on. I presume that this will be ok, the bike will be out of warrenty now, but my question is was there any kind of recall to put a new improved headlight on ? Failing that has enyone put any aftermarket headlight system on a Brutale, pics would be good ! It will really piss me off if the sodding lense is prone to falling off ! I have also heard of gremlins in the fuse/relay system, as this is all one unit and is subject to water ingress in rain ! Is this true ? Being in England I will get caught in the rain often, is this going to be an issue for me !

There has been no recall on the headlight.

A member here was experimenting with a replacement design, but I don't remember who.

Some bikes have suffered from Gremlins, others have not. Thus, no recall on the SPU either. If yours does go bad, there are different part numbers for different years. Make sure you order the correct one. Hopefully, this will not happen.

I'm not sure that those SPUs that have gone bad have been because of water or some other reason.

to my knowledge there has been no recall, but just fell out on a speed bump and smashed to bits, when i inquired a bout a new lens the dealer told me there had been a fault with the early ones falling out he spoke to mv. and they agreed to replace under warranty mine was just under the three years, it just as well because they cost £585. to replace,i don't how you'd get on no harm in trying! the new one looks slightly different, I'll take picture see what you think, yes if you you look up threads on fuses and relays you will see plenty of threads my 750 wouldn't turn off unless i stalled it even then the pump kept running, that's was a short of some kind, but touch wood no problems with the 910, I'm not an expert but it seems to me the 750's have more electric faults.if he cleans and re bonds the lens that sounds good, personely i would try and get m.v to replace it.:conveyer:

Cheers CAG and Joanne for the replies, I am not sure what I am looking at with regard to the pics Joanne !!! Well I am looking forward to Tuesday to pick her up, although it broke my heart to trade in my F4 but I just could not ever see anything behind me and the riding position was just not conjusive to any reasonable distance, I managed a 300 mile jaunt in one go but paid the price, back ache, neck ache etc etc, which takes the edge off the whole experience. Shame as the F4 is such a lovely bike, but realy just a track tool, for someone like me that rides them miles and miles it was usless, I just hope I get on better with the Brutale, I already have a few modidfications in mind to make it a little more comfortable for me, 6'4'' and 20 stone and arm length any gorilla would be proud of. I just hope it all works as I really love these engines and the whole MV thing, I just wish I were 5' 8'' and 10 stone then it would all be a lot easier !

i tried to show the semi circle clips going into the the surround,(bottom picture the best i think) center of the picture right on the edge of glass i don't remember seeing them on the old ,but i haven't seen one to do a direct comparison perhaps another Brut rider could help, have a look! i loved the f4 but never owned one, same as you i'll go out on me bike sometimes all day, and just from sitting on one i new it was to radical, plus years of riding i have a few week bones mainly my wrists, so i went for the brutale, it's fantastic you'll love it, all that power with the comfort.6'4 you mite find it a little cramped, good luck anyhows!:blah:
