Ok., so it's been a while since I last made myself a nice set of 'bar ends' for the Brutale....and as this is my 2000th post I thought I'd celebrate it with an 'appropriate' set.
Obviously as the bike is Italian I thought it only right to incorporate the Italian flag with brass separating rings into the design using machined coloured acrylic.

As is customary for me I also featured a representation of the 10 spoked wheels into the end of the bar ends along with the 'MV Agusta' logo in the centre and got 'MV Agusta' engraved twice around the circumference of the end portions by a specialist engraver in Belfast.

I've endeavoured to make them a little bit more 'special' than previously and have utilised some novel items such as the threaded portions of brass valve stems to thread into machined MV Agusta logo valve dust caps sourced in Italy.

Anyway as photos tend to explain much more than words .....without further ado here is how I got on.
Brian:)

Thanks as ever for the very kind comments guys...,I've already plans for a further development of 'similar' but slightly more 'elaborate' bar ends for my Suzuki. (a continuous project:laughing:)

I think they'll present more of a challenge and during the Christmas holidays (when I've got the time) I'm looking forward to getting cracking!.
I'll post up another thread of the process and end result using the step by step photos here on the forum and hope they will be as well received.

I've only one (fairly poor) photo of the 'Italian' bar ends featured here installed on my bike and weather permitting will get something better.......however in the meantime here it is.
Thanks again guys.
Brian:)

What Can This Man Not Do?

This is ridiculous! What a way to introduce your 2000th post - Congratulations :)

That is too way much talent for one person to have to himself - start giving some of it away to us wretched, talent deprived mortals :jsm:

These threads are amongst my favourite ones on mvagusta.net - I never get tired of watching a lump of metal become a work of art, which is a much overused expression but in your instance Brian, it is the only apt and accurate description that can be used.

There's a house for sale 2 doors up from me at present, it has a pool & tennis court and 5 car garage -the pool can easily be filled in to provide additional parking - as tennis is for poofs, we could erect a fabrication shed on there - it puts you two doors up from the shrine of which you occasionally remind me of your future claim to ;) & it also puts you in a in position to build whatever is necessary to keep the shrine inhabitants in optimum running order (kind of taking care of business & looking after your interests) :) - you can EVEN roll the Suzuki into our backyard for a visit from time to time - fancy a move? :stickpoke

Seriously though, I remain simply in AWE of the stuff you turn out! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. :yo:

Those bar ends need to reside on Randrew's F4........ship them to him along with an invoice. He won't be able to resist. It won't matter how much you bill him for, he'll pay it.

Brian.

PS I know Noel uses the term POS quite often in his posts...and I had to laugh as I've just noticed in the 4th photo of my opening post.., the supplier I purchased the coloured acrylic used the term....''Wholesale POS Co'':bash:!

I'll use anything ya know..,even ''Wholesale POS''!!...,:laughing
