I'm sorry if this is a stupid or redundant question. I did a search and nothing came up.

Does anyone know where you can get new, or close-to-new bodywork for the 1st gen F4 1000?

I think I'm going to be tracking mine more next season and am strongly considering a spare set of bodywork.

If you are going to track your bike, just get a set of Shark Skinz or some other track specific bodywork.

Several companies make track plastic. Catalyst is another.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I appreciate you chiming in.

As a long time track junkie, I'm well aware of track bodywork options. However, my stock bodywork is showing it's age so I'm just going to use those for the track and I'm looking to get a new set of OEM bodywork that I can throw back on when I'm ready to get it looking new again.

My F4 won't be a dedicated track bike.

The only option I saw was Emoto in UK and I was wondering if there were any other options here in the USA or from any of the vendors on this forum.

I can't believe this Turbs, man, where did you even find eMoto, they have been bankrupt for years, and corrupt all in one.

If you want new stuff, look at the dealers who sell new stuff, like Star twin Trading and Moto Forza, look in this section mate - http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=35

PS. Chuck, Shark Skinz stopped making gear for the older F4 many years ago.

Thanks for the info Donsy. Emoto still has a site. I didn't know about corruption. Sucks if it's true.

I could be wrong but last I checked, most of the OEM bodywork for 1st gen has been discontinued so you can't buy it new. But I'll call around.

I don't see how SharkSkinz would stop making race bodywork for MV. I just bought a tail section for my ZX7R-which is much older, earlier this year.

eMoto went corrupt and bankrupt, was kicked off this Forum, not "if", it's true mate
Go read up in the "Industry Review" section, it's not a rumour, and that site you're looking at is not actively running anymore, try ordering from it.

I ordered top fairing and belly pan from them (Star Twin) at the start of the year for a mates insurance claim, had no problems then, other than crazy expensive. That's why I would rather do as Chuck suggested, put race glass on and repaint your OEM parts.

I've tried repeatedly to get F4 pre 2010 from Shark Skinz, no bullshit, it would have been a once off at crazy price, but hey I see they're listing them again, maybe an increase in demand prompted them to run another batch.

Thanks for the Star Twin info. I'll look into it.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.

There is a guy advertising track plastic and lives in California. Says he does not want to ship.

Actua;;y donsy since I've been looking for glass for my 2001 mv 750 I contacted sharkskins. They do still sell fairings for the older bikes.. they are just costly and for some reason their shipping is twice the price of any other company I've emailed. so sadly i wont be trialling theirs.. Should have my own made by early next year tho. and if 750 fairings fit the 1000 I have a complete set plus some spare side panels.. would need a re paint on the side panels but they are all un broken if you're interested Turbo

Read the above, I did correct myself.
The shipping is not their fault, it's Australia Post, they will not handle fairings of that size, regardless of weight. I paid $500 for my fairing to be shipped out to me in February this year, the fairing part cost $450.

fairings?

Clint;
try Catalyst Racing Composites.......

they make 2 styles replacement and racing with big side vents

Because of your fucked up Post Office's (79" rule) you must use a commercial shipper

don't use the usual assholes UPS, FedEx, DHL etc they are $100 a pound

:wtf::wtf:

Hey, i have both a full original bodywork (back/grey) or a track one if you're interested (both with gas tank and airbox included) :naughty:

as shown by the posts by members, when i was building up spare body work for the same reason, i just trolled the for sale section and ebay. its served me well, but i believe you have a better chance for prime condition pieces by posting a wanted post in the for sale section.

my $.02
