Does anybody know how many 1078's were made?
How many were imported to the US?

I read recently that only 50 were brought into USA... if that's true that is a very low number of bikes. :crazyeyes

Well, it figures that the number we got was anecdotal :stickpoke
Dealers and sales guys tend to be the least informed about their products.

Anybody have a source of verifiable information on the production or import numbers?

BTW cdamb - it's unlikely that Bfranklin made that quote
but it is colorful :)

I pulled the trigger on a used 1078 today.

I talked to the manager of the dealership and asked him about production numbers.
Rather than just rattling off a number he called the MV distributer directly.
Haha, they didn't know the exact number but said it was less than 100 total and less than 30 of them were white.
A very rare bike indeed :mouthwate

Less than 100 total produced or less than 100 sold imported to the US? I'm thinking there were many more 1078's produced than 100. Does anybody know total production numbers?
