2008 F4 312

Atfer a good run of maybe 40 miles, if I stop for gas, the bike is hard to keep running, it start and stops, quite a few times; the temperature is no more than 212-220 or so. Some times I need to wait like half hour or so before it runs steady. Any advise is appreciated. My bike with only 2532 miles.

I had the same problem with my 09 312 and my 06 1000
I did the impeller water pump upgrade and it seemed to work.

Leo and andres at unique superbikes in Miami usually have it in stock

If have not done so already get the Muzzy fans as well as the upgraded water pump impeller and outer case. Have them replace the seals in there while they are at it. My 2008 started puking coolant out of the bleed hole from a leaking seal on the coolant side. Easy and cheap insurance. :)

This is a stalling problem isn't it,not overheating.Sometimes Iridium spark plugs can solve this problem and a check on the TPS setting.

They are good guys. And Manuel the mechanic is excellent.

Can it also be caused by fuel vapors locked inside the fuel tank..say a faulty gas cap?

silentservice703 01-11-2014 10:23 AM

Yes, and it can be caused by fuel line problems and/or a clogged vapor cannister.

Thanks for all your good advise, I'll be taking the bike to SBK in Miami this coming month of Feb, for a new impeller, and a new valve gasget, and an oil change. Thank you all.
