Advice needed - lower handlebars for 1090RR

Hi there.
I am looking for new handlebars for my brute. I prefer them a bit lower than original and possible in black. Have read about some using Streetfighter bars. Does any here have experience with this or other brand? Rizoma or ??

Thanks

I got a black Rizoma MA010 bar. I forget the rise but you can Google it. I changed my bars as a personal preference because I felt my riding position in relation to the bars was too high. These bars not only give my bike a more menacing look but suits my riding position perfectly! Didn't have to do any modifications or milling to make them fit. You will however not be able to use your OEM bar ends and anything sized for OEM bars. The Rizoma bars taper to the ends. I found this to be more acceptable than milling the mount to fit other recommended bars by members in here. I'm more comfortable getting lower lean angles on corners now that I don't feel so "high" on the bike. They are adjustable to suit your body type. The pictures don't show a dramatic difference once installed but they do offer a much more aggressive riding position depending on how much you rotate them. Many Brut fans will tell you to get an F4 if you want lower bars!

When I was searching for bars I was frustrated with all the choices and the preferences of others in here. Everything from Ducati bars to weird custom ones just gave me a headache. I love and trust Rizoma and had no doubt these bars would suit my needs. Hope this helps.

Hi M5zealot.

Thanks for your conprehensive reply with pictures. Looks really cool i think. I will check the rizoma bars out. Only issue as I see it now, is that I CRG bar end mirrors that i would like to mount. But that should be possible by modifing a bit on the bar end. Thanks again:brutale:

Here's some more info, not sure why that's in the Maint section, I'll move it shortly.

You are welcome. I have never been a fan of bar ends only because my 1st experience with them almost caused me to crash into a truck in front of me. On my old Ducati 900SP to see what's behind you, you have to look down and back at the bar end mirrors. That split second of taking my eyes off the road almost killed me. (truck slowed down to avoid running over a ladder on the road) The OEM mirrors positioned correctly allowed me to do a quick glance to see what's behind me and not take my attention completely of what's in front too. The Rizoma mirrors you see on my bike are not OEM obviously but I have them positioned so they work just a well and look cool too. I admit bar end looks cool.

I use Rizoma ma005 bars and CRG lane splitter bar end mirrors, sweet. See posts http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showth...492#post614492
