Hey Fellas. So after doing tons of research on Ducati's and Triumph's I left the dealer with a Brutale. I just fell in love with it! I bought it with 2500 miles from a Ducati/MV Dealer. It rides amazing, however, it's now stalling a lot when I'm idling at lights. Today I also noticed that while I was waiting at a light the blue hi beam indicator was flickering. I did not have the hi beams on. I've only had the bike three days. What do you think?

I'm in Brenwood, CA. Former home of legendary football player OJ Simpson..I think he may be legendary for some other stuff too...if I recall?? Originally from NY. I've been riding a Harley Heritage for the last year and decided I wanted a little, sportier bike to zip around with occasionally...but..after only a couple days I realized I may never ride my Harley again. Even stalling at every light I love this Brutale!!

Welcome to the forum. sounds like the SPU is playing up, a new "blackback" SPU is the solution. both my 910s and my wife's 750 have had to have them replaced. Here in Holland they cost 385 euros, but you should have yours replaced under warranty. Even with the occasional problem the Brutale's still the most fun bike out there.

Ok, so they replaced the CDI unit. Not sure what that is. They said it was a $675 part. No stalls on the 15 mile ride home from the dealer but it was mostly highway with only a couple lights. Got rained on most of the way home but didn't really mind. Happy to just be riding it. Going to take it out now around town before it rains again to check it out.

Took Sunset up to Hollywood. About 12 miles. Stopped at a few lights. I'm thinking this Brutale has the power to turn lights green as most of the lights switched as I was approaching. Believe me that NEVER happens when I'm driving!! Got into Hollywood and did a lot of stop and go. No stalling and no high beam light flickering. Took some pics which I'll try to post, though, I'm pretty sure I entered the bike in the registry and it still says I have none. Rode back on Mullholand. Wow! That was ridiculously fun. Took it pretty easy since it was a little wet and I'm just getting to know the bike but it was a blast anyway. As long as this issue is solved I will be left with just one more. How am I ever gonna ride my Harley again?? Thanks for all your help.
