I'm going to be having a clear out of some the Ducati parts I've collected over the years..

For sale here is a genuine Ducati Limited Edition Ben Bostrom bike cover..

These where only produced for the limited edition bikes and are as rare as hens teeth, but would look cool on any early Ducati bike..

The cover will fit all the 748 and 916 range models..

The cover is in its original packaging and unopened..

If you could still buy this from Ducati the retail price was £165.

I’m selling this cover for £130 (+ postage) . Can ship World Wide.

Cheers
John

Cover is now SOLD !...

.

PS: I've also got the cover for the Troy Bayliss Limited Edition Model.. Price is £135 and I can supply pictures if required.. Cheers !

Fanatic,

I clicked on this right away and then saw that you had sent a PM. I have been looking for this cover for awhile now-even stalking seller's of the bike on ebay asking to sell the cover seperately.

I have #81 of the US version of this bike and would love nothing more to have this cover. I just bought a 2002 Senna and was going to buy some carbon bits, but will put that towards this cover if you want to sell it.

I work overseas alot and my Bostrom stays inside. I would love to have this cover to use for the bike and complete the collection. As you can see in teh bike, it will be very well care for just like the autographed helmet, autographed lithographs and the bike itself.

If money cannot buy it, I have stuff we can trade...Rossi/Hayden signed 2011 Ducati hat, 2011 MotoGP hat with signatures of at least 6 of the riders to include Simoncelli, Crutchlow, Spies, Abraham and others and other various items. All signed at Laguna Seca in 2011.

Please let me know and if you want to talk more to work something out, email me at rodrigo.cantu1@gmail.com

I will take it...

Edit:
Clicked hoping to buy the Bostrom cover, but was already sold.

Attached pics of the Ducati hat...Rossi sig on one side and Hayden on the other.

Also pic of Simoncelli signing my MotoGP hat and pic with he and I. I got these as a fan with no intention of ever selling them and do not know there worth-especially since Sic passed away later in the year of this autograph, but that Bostrom cover is something I really want.

Sorry, but I won't trade the signed helmets :)

Hey Rodrigo.

Wow... That is a serious collection you have there.. Respect Sir !..

Love the Ben Bostrom Limited Edition model in the house... :yo:.. I can't see clearly from the pictures, but does it still have the rare original blue throttle grips ?..

Ref this cover, I understand how you feel but Rob has first dibs.. I've sent him a PM to see if he still wants it...

Cheers

Thanks J and Senna!

Rob sent a PM and yes, he def has first dibs. I meant I would buy it from him-even if it was at a profit for him since he does has first dibs. When I bought the bike, the owner no longer had the cover so I have been looking for about two years now. It took about two years to find the helmet and then I got it signed last year. The bike currently has Rizoma grips. I took the originals off when I got the bike because they were in bad shape. I do have a set of new ones I tracked down, but I won't be putting them on the bike since I ride it on occassion.

I am an amateur collector and just get things for myself and of guys I follow. I have been working in Iraq the past five months, so I missed the US races. However, I bought Rossi's 2011 helmet and a good friend of mine waited for about 8 hours to get it autographed.

A couple of more pics...

Rodrigo that is one seriously nice setup there.
If only my doorway were big enough to move the Senna inside.
Curious as to why your bike didn't come witht the cover though.

Thanks! I am trying to talk my wife into letting me put the Senna in my game room area while I am working overseas, but it is upstairs and my stairs curve, so it may be a pain putting it up there.

I bought my Bostrom from a dealer in Boston (USA). Although the bike was in great shape and came with the original stand, it did not have the manuals, owner's plaque or cover. I bought it anyway hoping to eventually track down the items-not realizing the cover would be a tough find.

I figure someone may have traded it in and we know dealers do not give any more money for mods or "extras", so I assume the owner kept those items for himself or sold them individually.

Thanks Jon,

Sorry to have put you guys in this situation. It wasn't meant to be so I will keep looking.

Thank you and Rob again for even considering it.

man that is awesome! I am a bostrom fan but I think your def a bigger one. I used to have that Leguna Bostrom and my Wife has the original Bostrom Suomy not the Leguna version.

My MV has spent a tad bit of time in the house when I first got it but i was stationed in Alaska and I was adding parts and what nots...but now none of them get past the garage I have my man room but its just a big love me wall of my Air Force stuff.

#13 ·
Yea, I am a fan of his. Couldn't afford the bike when it first came out, so I bought a good used one a couple of years ago and am trying to track down all the original bits.

I found his other Suomy recently and am hoping to track him down for a sig at MotoGP at the new Curcuit De Americas in Austin, TX next year if AMA races there like they do at Laguna. If not, I will have to find teh nearest AMA races and get him there.

So.......who is this Bostrom guy?

:naughty:

#21 ·
Rob/Jon,

I just wanted to let you guys know that I have not forgotten about you!

I am happy to say that my wife had our daughter last week. I have been pretty busy with that little bundle of joy.

I got the cover and it was as described. Unfortunately, I hit a pothole on my Bostrom, so the front wheel is out for repair. As soon as it gets back, I will post pics of it with the bike cover.

I got lucky tonight and found some brand new original owner's manuals for the Bostrom. Found them on ebay and won the auction for $20 USD. I could not believe it as I have never seen any for sale.

I am attaching a pic of them as well as a couple of the MV Senna I just bought and added carbon slip-ons to it.

Pics as promised

Hey guys, I finally got around to taking pics of the cover on the bike. I was waiting to get the front wheel replaced/fixed on the Bostrom, but that did not happen before returning to Iraq so you will notice in some pics it is a standard wheel. The replacement will not arrive until later this month.

I traded my Kawasaki track bike and quad for a 2008 Ducati 848 with tons of goodies. It will become my new track bike.

And as promised, here are a couple of pics of my daughter...being a dad is amazing!!

Hi Rod.. Cute little baby girl you've got there... She looks happy in Daddys arms..

Hey that Ben Bostrom cover looks a lot nicer than I'd imagined.. Give it back.... It looks fantastic mate and I can see why you wanted it to complete the Bostrom kit..

The bike collection looks like a nice stable of Italian Motorcycle art.. :mouthwate

Well done Sir !

PS: No, I haven't forgotten about the Senna stuff and it's on my to do list .... I give you my 100% promise that you will get first refusal..
