Made these cover plates for the swing arm pivot bolt. Made others ages ago and there's a thread somewhere....but these are my latest.
I'll not bore you with photos of the process as in the past...but 'cut to the chase' with the end result....'lots' of work as usual..but I'm very happy with the result and hope you like em.
Brian
...no they are 'sato' I did however make the 'knurled' shift peg on the end of the levers as the ones supplied were hard black plastic...and I thought a little 'cheap' looking.

Hey Ian...if you'd like me to post up the photos of the sequence and process of how I made them then no problem...I'll happily do so.
I just thought that a load of 'in sequence' photos like ..eg. the 'bar ends' I recently done http://www.mvagusta.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47158 might not appeal to everyone...(like showing someone your holiday photos). I'm glad your'e interested though...and find it encouraging.
Brian.
Ok Ian...seeing as you asked...
The photos show previously made 'cover plates' and as I wanted these new ones to have the same 'profile' I set up the machining process accordingly.
I also wanted the 'retaining nuts' to have a 1mm brass spoked wheel design and also have the same profile. These have to be made in a larger solid section and then 'separated' upon completion.
The 'plates are held in place via a threaded 'spindle' (not photographed) passing through through swing arm pivot bolt.
Anyway I hope the photos convey some of what was involved

Brian my friend, you are a nut, a very good one though. I am getting some Ti brake caliper capscrew's, and I'm worried about how to drill them for safety wiring. You make us look whimpy indeed.
Thanks Brian , I love this stuff , I am sure I'm not the only one that appreciates the time , patience , and skill that goes into your work . Keep em comming .
Very kind words Carlos and greatly appreciated. I think most people like to add a little 'something' to make their bike 'individual' to them and as such I try and use my creativity to 'make' something a little unique. And in sharing this I am so pleased others 'get it'. Thanks..
Brian.
