Hi guys...
During the last days I am experimenting a strange situation when trying to start on my Brutale.
I move the key to the on position and let the bike makes the checks before start it...but when it finish...you can still hear a buzz from the engine that never stops...it is like a "piii..trrrr...piii...trrr". When pushing the stat button..the bike starts with no problem.
Anybody knows what it is this strange buzzing sound????
my best guess is the injection fuel pump running to keep the fuel preassure up as it assumes you want to start the engine after turning on the ignition.

I have been talking with my MV dealer and they say it is probably the fuel pump, as maximustinnitus previously commented...but...they want to see the bike...maybe because it is not normal...
My 1090 does not do that. There is a high pitched wine, kind of like the high voltage when the TV is on, but nowhere near that. That sounds like the servo motor for the exhaust valve if the 990's have them. Look down on the right hand side of the bike by the exhaust and see if the cables on the servo are moving in unison to the noise...
