hello i got an F4-1000-s 2005model

and last time i whas out riding i stopt for a chat and killd the engine with the emergency stop and the lights whare still on like normally

and then i heard a snapp and the dashbord whent blank no lights or anything and the parklights went blank to, but the bike runs fine

i keep blowing this fuse "C-3 7,5Sidelights, mileometer sensor, fuel tank sensor" 7,5A

i cant see any short circuit or anythin where the positive could touch the negative wire...

have anyone of you had this problem?

wires?

Kieran;
a loose ground won't blow a fuse, it will keep things from working though
a bad positive wire..... abraded to ground will blow a fuse

Hordursp;
fuel tank plug wires, the most likely to get pinched are probably the problem
i doubt it's inside the tank, do you have a multimeter?

key off, check both sides of the fuse holder for connection to ground, then disconnect the different circuits one at a time
i'd disconnect the speed sensor 1st

:naughty:

If it was fine before you used the kill button and not fineafterward then I'd be looking at the switch and trace it's wiring. Even god doesn't know how the wiring is on these things but I'm inclined to think it has something to do with the switch/wiring/relationship to other stuff that no longer works.

short?

Hordursp;

inspect the wires going to the speed sensor......
that's why i said to unplug it, there are so many places it could be damaged

glad it was simply unplugging it......now you know the bad circuit:yo:
