So,

as you all know my new Brutale 750 with 40 miles on it developed some serious oil leaks and dealer took the bike back for repairs..

Today, dealer said that they fixed some of the oil leaks, but found more problems with one of the cylinders misfiring ?!?!?!?!

They will talk to Agusta on Monday and ask for a replacement bike... or something of that sort...

I am super pissed, becase I took vacaton from work so I could enjoy my new bike... what a bummer :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

Sorry to hear that, there must be some serious problems if they already talk about a replacement.

I hope it starts raining in your area so its not that hard on you.

Keep us posted!

You deserve a new bike out of this deal. Hang in there.

Your new bike that sat for two years, was it in the crate? or was it on the show room floor after being run. It may have sat for two years with a wet cylender. :stickpoke As for the oil leaks that does not sound rite at all. If they want to get you a new(er) bike, on the bright side you may end up with an 06 or 07 . And if no 750s are not available a new 910. But anyway it sounds like your dealor wants to do everything to make you a satisfide costomer and without that you got a big problem :blah: Good luck with the outcome and now that you had a taste of the Brutale it`s going to be even tuffer of a wait :bawling: :ahhh: :green:

That sucks, but sounds like the dealer is going to bat for you. Hang in there. I think everyone has had the coolant leak, but Havent heard of any oil leaks. My 750 would creep twords 230 temp, but then it would back down, and Im in FL. Good luck.

Yep...

I called dealer and service manager told me that they found antifreeze in oil!!!

so, it looks like main gasket is shot as well....super weird...it's like all gaskets are leaking on the bike...

I told them, that I don't want the bike back. either get me a new one or money back...

Dealer is working with Agusta corporate trying to see what can be done...

now, my wife wants to know what's going on...no money and no bike...

Insist on either a new bike or at least a complete new engine.
If they repair the engine I am 100% positive that it will cause
problems in the future.
Hang in there!

I think this is perfectly reasonable considering the situation! Do you happen to know manufacturing date from the VIN decal and exactly how long it was sitting? Was it crated during the wait or a demo bike or?

Hope it's sorted for you soon. Just to add a bit of indirect experience; start documenting date/time stamps for each conversation and action now in case it's needed in future.

That sucks man, sorry to hear your purchase has gone so badly! But it must either be that specific bike or the mechanics at the dealership, as I also bought a leftover ('04) and haven't had a single problem with it. Mine was manufactured in either 11 or 12/03 and had been in the crate until a week before I bought it. Definitely get a different bike or your money.

Bike was in the crate untill few days before I bought it. It had 5 miles on it when I picked it up. Dealer says that mechanics testride every new bike. I think it was manufactured on March 05.

dealer now says that what Agusta factory tells them to run more test and all check how much oil from airfilter is in the airbox, thinking that it caused bike to smoke heavily...

I told dealer, that this is bullshit and I am fed up and I want either new bike (preferred) or money back.
