While we are on the Brutale topic, it looks like the B4, especially of the 1090 variety have disappeared off the market. I know that not many were sold, but remember always seeing at least 2-3 for sale at any given time especially in such a large market as Southern Cal. Is there any correlation with the fact that MV has stopped the B4 production until a new bike comes out in 2 years?

Rare as hen's teeth....if you have one you aren't selling...... and who can blame the owners. They have the best bike out there.

Essentially, the 1090 and the 1078 Brutales are the same.

It is the engine of choice. The 1078 preceded the 1090 and they both have the 1078 engine.

I know I haven't been on in a few months due to a move, but if your looking for a 1090 mine may sadly have to go up for sale soon. It's a 2011 1090r in the gorgeous blue and white.

I think it's about emission rules in europe.

the emission rules is euro 4 now, but the B4 still in euro 3 so they are not able to sell it anymore. (it's seems to be an exception for F4 that is also in euro 3 but maybe it's because it's run in WSBK... i don't know)

Quick look at today's craigslist offerings yielded this little nugget:

I've seen this bike in person at the Rockstore and it looks better in real life than in the pics. The price is up there (for that scratch, I'd be looking at the Corsa being offered on this here forum). Recently, there was a 2011 1090RR on local CL that was at $7k asking IIRC.
