That road is the "track" In fact it is the grid/starting can see the white markings...
You are just feet from the bikes...with No obstructions in your view.

Here is Michael Dunlop's van and bike's (Bennett's Suzuki's)

Here is Peter Hickman's bikes (Peter is there with the white cap leaning on the step ladder)

Ulster Grand Prix 2017 paddock walk

OK...I know it's only Tuesday and the racing doesn't start until Thursday but I thought I'd pop over to the Ulster Grand Prix paddock for a while and have a look while they are beginning to get set up for racing.

This particular race is the "World's fastest road race"....with an average speed higher that the IOM TT...and the NW200...even though at times they are exceeding 200mph. .!!

So that should give you an idea just what a spectical the UGP is..!!

It's only about 3 miles from my house so it's 'on my doorstep' and you can walk freely and chat to the rider's.

I got into a good chat with BSB and 21 times NW 200 winner Alastair Seeley today...although he doesn't do this one (the NW 200 being the only "Road race" he does with his BSB commitments.

I took a few photos which should give a flavour of the racing to come in the next few days (Racing this Thursday and Saturday.

It's our national sport with the Police closing the public roads to race on...

It's in our blood and we Love it.!
