Took the front brake calipers off and noticed caliper bolts are different length.

Also, the top caliper bolt does not sit flush on the bracket, when fully tightened (when looking down from top fork tube). Is this normal ?

No that is NOT normal.

Those threads look as if they have been rounded off, too.

Now, what bike are you referring to? Year?

Help us help you......

? wtf

How about YOU look in the parts manual??????

page C02 items 16 and 17........

so obviously they aren't the same

of course it was stupid of Nissin to make the caliper lopsided so you could put the bolts in the wrong holes

and strip the threads.......that's what happens when idiots design things.......

Those certainly LOOK like two differing lengths.
Perhaps they are simply swapped in the holes...

They should snug up tight at the torque spec.

Two different part numbers for the bolts...two different bolts. Seems pretty obvious to me they're supposed to be different. The question is not what moron designed it but what moron put them in without noticing one of them wasn't flush or worse yet...just left it that way.

I agree. This bike already had them installed when I purchased it.

Anyone have pictures of their caliper bolts I could compare ?
