Why has one bolt have a straight shank and the other is tapered? Is that normal because one of his bolts is not sitting flush with the caliber and that is not correct.I cannot remember what my bolts look like.Bad memory.:jsm:
Two different part numbers for the bolts...two different bolts. Seems pretty obvious to me they're supposed to be different. The question is not what moron designed it but what moron put them in without noticing one of them wasn't flush or worse yet...just left it that way.

Mystery resolved.
I had the wrong bolt installed (long bolt belongs to the bottom of the fork leg clamp).
Moron was me all this time
