Hello everyone!

This is my first thread on the forum.
Now I understand how I create threads :yo:,so now you can ignore the question in the other thread!

Does anyone know where I can find error codes for Texa?

When I run the Texa on one of my bikes, I get an error message (Fault) that says "U1706, YR-sensor, CAN Line, Signal missing"

I can not find any answers in the workshop manual?

Does anyone know what the YR-sensor is? or what the code U1706 means?

The bike is an F4RR MY13 (2014)

Please, help me?
Grazie per il vostro aiuto!

Depending on which model texa and updates you have there is a menu option that explains which sensor it is and where it is located.
So far, I have not had a sensor fail, but I have had a few connector issues, that a coating of dielectric grease has fixed.

I dont think there is a connector problem on my bike. The bike has only run for 800 km (~ 500 miles) and only in sunshine, day time.
I've never washed it yet so it has never even seen water..

I did the inrun service and fixed the 3 factory recalls last weekend so I removed the fueltank, at the same time I check all the connectors I could see.

I asked Italy about my problem but has not recive an anser yet...

I will see what I can find out for you.
My main problem has been the O2 sensor connector behind the crankcase. First time pull it apart and push together again fixed it, second time added dielectric grease and haven't had a problem since. Other issues were the 4pin connector on the starter solenoid and bad earth connections and battery connections.
Also got a fine oil mist on the connector to the regulator rectifier and the downstream connector.
The only one that threw an error code (but no check engine light) was the O2 sensor.
Bear in mind that an intermittent fault will be recorded and doesn't mean that the issue is still present, just that it has happened. Clear it and see if it comes back again.

I can only see the fault in the Texa, not in the dashboard.

In the Texa its marked yellow and if I delete the faults its turn green and then I can clear it and its gone..
Ignition off > on and its back... :banghead:

I jut re-read this. Am I hearing correctly that you see a fault with your Texa diagnostics that you do not see on your dash and that your bike is otherwise functioning normally? If so then why are you concerned?, especially since your Texa is seeing a fault that doesn't affect your bikes functioning? As with many outboard aftermarket diagnostics, oftentimes 100% compatibility is unachievable as it may not fully meet the development standard of the particular model bikes' ecu or other software and electronics. A good test is plug your Texa to another F4RR and see if it reads the same fail.

I found this but relates to a system on a Fiat: Defect unknown cod. U1706 BODY COMPUTER Defect unknown cod. U1706 Speed POWER-ASSISTED STEERING car (can) cod.

Considering that the signal is missing is distributed in the network by ABS control unit, now let's talk about the diagnosis in an attempt to determine the cause of the "shutdown" the ABS controller. We use the multimeter and go up to first check the feeds on the ABS control unit. The ABS control unit is located in the engine compartment on Hydraulic Central.

I talk to Italy and there is an new ECU sent to me ..

There is a manufacturer issue within the ecu.
I also hade a problem updating the map and they told me thet the bodynumber of the ECU is wrong so I need to replace it...
My ECU was a non programmable ECU so it must be replaced on warranty.

Hopefully everything will be fine when I replaced the ECU

Now a new ECU is mounted and the 0509RD34 mapp is installed and all problem is solved, No errors in Texa and the QS i working.
I run the bike on the Dyno and recived 171,66 rwhp and 102,08 Nm of torque ;D (with titanium exhaust)
