We have been coming to India each winter for a number of years now, both of us struggle with a full UK winter, a few weeks brak here does help us both, and after retirement it may be an option for a regular three or four month stay.

Enjoy the HMRC returns Joe, I am off for another dip in the pool and a few Kingfisher's.
I can't fault you Jim...Perfect strategy to fly south when the horrible grey weather arrives over the British Isles.

When you come home I'd be very interested to hear more of your experiences and any travel hints on getting out to India..

Well done you to enjoy life to the full..

Not possible to bring our MV's here so it is a case of hiring two Royal Enfield Bullets for a ride out from Calangute following the NH routes out through Old Goa town and then to Ponda and up into the Western Gnats, this is a lovely ride but in some pretty hot, high humidity temperature, 38c today.

The Gnats are home to some lush green hills and valleys and as we make the climb higher and higher offers some stunning views back down to the narrow strip of land that is Goa and beyond the Arabian sea. The Enfield's are pretty basic workhorse's and judging by the state of the road surface more suited to the many potholes and speed breakers installed to try to cudb and high-speed fun. Certainly our Brutale's are better back at home. We only have a very slow internet connectivity at the hotel so pics and more to come later, now it is time to turn around and make the descent back to an appointment with a cold drink or two.
