    Ah Ha,

MV Owners. I am able to source parts for 1960 Norton easily but to find parts for my 2000 MV is very difficult. I am hoping the forum will help in finding alternatives to those parts that keep coming up 'discontinued'. I am currently desperately seeking the Ignition Coil Leads for the 2000 F4 750. I have found a secondhand set with coils included for $420 AUD but I have a new set of coils and don't really want more. I was hoping there may be an alternative like to the for the fuel pump that is used in many vehicles for instance. It seems impossible there isn't a solution. Hoping I can now join the forum given I have done my 3 introductory messages.
    All the best,

    Hi All,
More on the electrics. I have since cut the wiring loom sheath off and checked the rest of the harness internals. At the location where the first fault was found there was a little bit of corrosion evident so I cleaned that up too and reinstated the harness sheath with scotch 23 tape. I have checked all the peripherals now, sensors etc as per the manual. I will now replace the two faulty ignition coil leads and see what happens. The manual did also discuss the Weber Morelli software for analysis, has anyone had experience with this? The bikes is 20 years old this year and has 48,000 km on it. Here in Queensland now it is very difficult getting parts or service done, so I am largely on my own now.

    Hi All,
I have a 2000 F4 750. Love this bike. Was convinced to buy one in 2000 when I saw a photo in a mag which was a front on shot and had a Ducati Mito beside it. It was smaller than the Mito, how could this be? Anyway I waited 6 months even though the list was actualy 12 months, I just kept ringing the dealer and pestering them until one day they had a cancellation and the bike was mine. I had an electrical fault caused by water entering the harness (the bike was about ten years old at that stage) which I found and fixed. I have another fault now and during my investigations I have found a faulty plug lead. The bike runs but one day it just stopped on my. I could start it but as soon as I put it into gear it would stop running. I finally figured out that if I turned off the headlight it would keep going so I managed to limp home.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a set of plug leads from? Are they the same as for some of the later models maybe?
