Video: Alfa Spider, "The Distance"

My 1750 Veloce is completely stripped and is having the body completely re-done....so it was one last thrash is the mountains and we took the cameras. We now have a much better system to secure the overhead camera , and the quality of footage is far better than the last two...

We did have issues with sound and external mics, hence the music overdubbed in many places, but you can still hear the little twin cam at work :-)

Video deceives....its a "20 Foot away" car at the moment.
While the paint is shinny and looks good....up close there's areas where the undercoat has delaminated from the body, and areas that need repairing.

Whilst there's no real rust to speak of, the fact the 1980's repaint hasn't bonded well, means removing it completely for a better, more robust finish for the future.
If it were being done to sell...yes , touch up the areas quickly and sell.
But this is a family jewel, in the family over two generations, it deserves it's delicate body to be preserved properly.

It's no concourse car and gets a thrashing like all Alfas should, so the least we can do is protect it's body:-)

Very nice Vid, Pete, how do you get some of those camera angles?
