Replacement ties for pannier bags

So the rubbish rubber ties disintegrated and snapped. I've seen a couple of posts with others making their own. Here is my attempt... They are basically camera straps from eBay.

Have made the same with para cord for my my TV. With the Hydro Tre exhaust the one on that side has shrunk and hardened but still works after 6,000+ miles.

Also the support strap for the pannier lid broke on one side and I replaced it with a bit of suitably sized nylon webbing (was from one of those lanyards they give you at race meetings if you have a paddock pass). Looks stock but is stronger than the original, just folded over the ends and used the two screws from the original.

Had the same issue, but a different approach for the resolution : took some metal wire, and use a tool to make it in a proper way (have just to pay attention to not unmount it just right after stopping the engine (specially on the right side))
