Puig Larger Windscreen - Installation

Does anyone have experience installing the Puig replacement windscreen on the TV RC? It came in the mail today and does not have instructions, nor are there any on the website. I referred to the shop manual and it appears they want the dash, the fairings and even more taken off to get to the bezel holding the window and the screws?? I cant believe its that involved!

Hi markammerman,

see the photo !!

To get the windshield off loosen:

1- two times No.: 22
2- then remove No.: 20/21
3- loosen No.: 17,19

Puig windscreen installation

Gero is my Hero. The instructions he sent made this an easy remove and replace of the windscreen. Take a look at the photo to see how much larger the Puig is, will try it out this morning, it appears it will move the air up and over my head. The MV screen being lower puts it right into my face making the wind noise very loud!

You made the right choice! That little deflector on end of the larger screen does wonders for curing turbulence.

Whats the proper angle for the deflector?

With my new Puig windscreen and attached deflector the lack of instructions doesn't help me position the screen properly. Should the deflector be parallel like my photo above or canted in at some kind of angle down or upwards? Experiences anyone?

One of the favorite positions I use for my height is where yours is set in the photo. However I do move it up and down while keeping the deflector parallel to the main shield. I found that I can adjust it while riding very easily with my left hand. Just experiment based on speed, wind and traffic in front of you.

I'm sure you will be impressed for any type of distance or cold weather riding in comparison to the stock shield.

I did multiple tries before finding the proper position, which may also depend how you position the windscreen...
