Top case

Hey guys. I have been contemplating a top box for the past several days but only for the wife to lean on in our long cross country rides. For local commute, the panniers will do just fine.

Since there is no official one from MV and a few members here have had base plates fabricated, I thought I need one that is easy to install and remove after our long right rides.

So this is my solution. Currently being held by cable ties to test it out, my wife says it serves it's purpose and provides a good back support from the full face helmet I put inside. I will replace that with something lighter.

Hi Sarje88,

could you please have some more detailed pictures on how you fixed this on the bike? I'm sometimes biking with my son or my daughter, and my wife would appreciate if I can have a similar solution. And on my side, I'm not really ready for a permanent Top Case on my TV, and therefore would really appreciate to find out a way to fix it in a easy and quick removable way.

Thanks.

Will do. Give me a bit of time. I have some buckle straps lying around from a pair of soft panniers I bought for my Caponord. Will use those. Stay tuned.

It does not look like there is anything available for the TV on Givi website, except the tank bag mount. Would you have the reference of the products?

Hi Anit

Did you make that bracket yourself?

Looks like it is carbon fiber so likely a manufacturer. MV allegedly had a solution "done" before their financial woes hit. Maybe this is it (or Givi). Either way, want...

Top case

It seems to involve drilling holes in the grab bars. A similar solution to Marko G's base plate.
