What is your current millage?

I wonder what to expect from this engine, I am at only 6.000km but this is a Sport Touring bike so I have high expectations. What is your current status and how well is your engine holding?

You can expect the same from it as any other good motorcycle engine, possibly more. I think MV laser tested every engine block prior to hand assembly for quality control on the first gen four cylinders. (Source: Twist the throttle youtube/discovery channel). Ive been on the forum since '08 and very few engine booms, most instances caused by ingesting a brass nut due to a design issue on first gen airboxes. Good question, might see some higher mileages now with a full touring model, but certainly I wouldnt be concerned about racking up the miles. In the past its been the odd dodgy component like spu, rear hub, early timing chain tensioners that have been issues rather than engine itself.

I have 2950 miles I put on the bike in the last three months since I bought it and have had nooo problems. I do crank my bike with the clutch in, otherwise it makes a rough sound!

I have 6500+ miles on mine, so far no issues with the motor.

Just over 6000 miles since buying my TVL in late April. Hoping to use it a bit more next year. No issues with the motor apart from some brief cam chain noise on start-up if it's been left standing for a week or two, soon goes away once oil reaches the tensioner.

a little over 6K miles as well. The motor just gets better with more miles.

48,500 miles on 2006 Brutale 910s, and still going strong... Maybe it's not a TV, but it is an MV

Bike formerly belonged to mrossk .

2006 Brutale 910S.... runs like a scalded assed ape.

16000 engine is trouble free, used as a daily and never been hooked up to charger.

I've done 5000 miles in the 10 months I've had my TV. All was well till recently when the bike suddenly died on me. Complete electrical shut down. Black dashboard and no emergency lights either. After about 10mts she started up again and I got home safe! Battery read 12.77V on the meter. Put it on the charger overnight and no problem on a short ride yesterday. Anyone had a similar experience?
