Seat mod

Just FYI,

I bit the bullet and rejigged the seat (I had 2 so not much to loose). The toughest decision was to do it; I removed the staples (after getting the tape off), cut down the foam and inserted a 2cm bit of gel from Wish, placed some plastic over the top for waterproofing and stapled the cover back on.

Next time I will try to de-wrinkle the plastic a bit more as it shows in certain lights (but no change to comfort), use 1cm gel as 2 is a little too big and generally smooth the sides in a little more. It works very well and I will be using it all day tomorrow to teach a course so I will update this.

I bought a staple gun for the compressor and used 6mm staples, both were ideal and easy to use.
esq'z me likes this.
