Love the new tank

Soooo, I have about 600 miles on the new engine. and new tank. I have the bigger tank from the 2015 Rivale on my 2014. It comes with the new seat and different bar risers.

If you have a Rivale, and you're tired of the fuel light coming on at 65-70 miles, get the new tank, it will add 25-30 miles. Now i get the same range I got with my 1098S and RSV4. MV is covering the first service on my new engine, and adding the new sprag. I may actually be on my way to a truly reliable bike.

I love riding the bike, it is a blast, true hooligan style.

Well done X! Great news mate.
Will have to get a new tank as well. What's the comfort level of the new seat?

Hi Greg I'm also thinking to get this new tank installed, have you already asked the costs from Mototecnic?

On a scale of 0 to 10 (10=best)
I give it a full 3

notice the fold?
Oki I'm 18st.

Original seat was:

Rated 1 for me,
not zero because of the nice stitching.

But with the hard stiff plastic knob could prolly rake a near perfect 10 for some.

The seat would be better for me if it didn't have the transition to the pillion portion. There's a ridge that I feel when I slide back to get into (my) proper position for turning in the twisties.

Cheers Arcimboldo & X. Something to look forward to.

g0nzal3s: Mototecnic quoted around 3k for new tank. Perhaps a christmas present to myself

Wow 3k for the tank? I think I'll leave it as it is and spend the money on track days

3K in dollars? I only paid just over $12K for the bike.

Saw the Rivale with the "bigger" tank and thought it looked HORRIBLE!!!

The Rivale is an urban assault vehicle......low and mean. The bigger tank makes it look like a sexy woman with a fat belly.

The bigger tank is fitting on the Stradale because of the bulbous panniers and tall wind screen. The Stradale is intended for longer commutes.

I think MV screwed up putting the bulbous tank on the Rivale for '15, especially since the Stradale is available. Each bike has their purpose.

I'm glad I bought my Rivale in 2014 with the small tank and no ABS. Big deal if you only get 100 miles/tank.

I'll use my Guzzi for the longer rides and keep the Rivale for what it was intended for.....pure mayhem!

To each their own...
