F3: Rear shock upper bushing

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever had to replace the upper bushing in the sachs rear shock on the f3?

My mechanic is looking over my bike (2013 f3 675) and noticed a lot of play in the upper bushing. After looking into the diagram it doesn't seem like the bushing is listed as a separate part. Most shocks seem to have the bushing listed and replaceable.

I'm in Canada so dealer support is terrible and I was hoping to just source a replacement part.

Any tips?

Thank you

Seems a lot of F4s had this concern a while back (years)... might do a search for those threads. I think Ade dealt with it on some bikes in his area.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I have an OEM shock with about 5 miles on it I could sell you for cheap. Might be easier that way if you're interested.

Hi

When I needed replacements for spherical shock bearings for my F4 1000S I got them from Splat Shop (yes really!). They are dirt bike specialists.

www.splatshop.co.uk

The bearing dimensions were:
ID 12mm
OD 26mm
outer width 12mm
inner width 16mm
and the part no was GE12-PW. The bearing supplied was an Elges brand.

I sold the bike not long after fitting the bearings so can't comment on their longevity.

Can you measure the bearing in your shock? It is also worth checking that the bolt is tight!

Thanks for all the responses, I reached out to Sachs(General contact address) so who knows what they will say.

I'll checkout the website and see if there are options.
@Jerry if neither pan out I'll reach out to you about the oem one.
