Front and rear ride height
I just put in a new Nitron shock and its supposed to be stock ride height. When side by side with the OE shock the mounting holes are at about 1/4-1/2" lower. Is there an accurate way to measure the rear and front ride height to see if Im at the correct angle? Being a after market shock I can't measure the rear shock the same as the frame manual suggests.
The bike rides great and its a big difference in the feel but im a perfectionist and need to verify the rear isn't lower then the front.

Old Wing Nut
What model do you have???
There is a spec for ride height, since it changes with chain adjustment as the eccentric hub is rotated in the swing arm.
On the 4 cylinder models a special tool providing a fixed point is attached and measurement then made to an adjustable point.
Suspension linkage provides an adjustment to change ride height. Not sure about 3 cylinder bikes.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

Help us help you...
Model and year of bike is needed.
Your general location on the planet would help.
If you flesh out your profile and put your bike in you signature, both in the USER CP, the we can directly respond without guessing or searching to figure out your needs.
These bikes, First Gen, Second Gen and Trepistoni each have a specific tool to set unladen sag (ride height).

It’s a 2013 f3 675. I’m not sure about the generation. I was looking into the ride hight but mainly I’m trying to see in the angle from to back is still correct.

I did see that in the Frame manual but was unsure that was what I needed before I track down the special tools... I got the R1, since don't go on the track a lot so I really don't need a lot of adjustability. I like the Nitrons since they do the custom build to my weight. Thats strange why they would say it wouldn't fit, I know mine was a hassle to get it took over a month since they where so backed up and the install took no time at all.

great, now ive got mine in and struck with different issue, it wast slightly longer perhaps 1-1.5cm than the oem shock I figured they setup exactly for me so just stuck it in and now I think (could be wrong, hope so) that the rear end is now 2.5in further from the ground than the forks are when both are extended fully in the air, ex the rear wheel is sucked up in the back of the bike like its already squatting when its not touching the ground yet.

Unloaded visual references mean nothing.
