2006 rear brake pads

Hi guys,

my rear brake pads /Nissin brake set-up/ were recently destroyed due to the brake caliper mounted only by one loose screw /don't ask/, hanging like a banana.

I've to get new brake pads. What would you guys suggest? Which ones to get and since you are all geniuses, where to get them :-)

And yes, I also need one of the bolts for the brake caliper - in case you know of someone or have one for sale.

Thx-

Brake pads from a variety of companies are readily available... Won't be the "genuine MV" part, but other bikes use the sameBrembo caliper and pad.

You might send a PM to CAG about the bolt. I believe he still has a basement full of various MV parts.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.

I recently installed EBC HH sintered pads on My '06 Brutale, quite happy with the EBCs, seem to get better grip, particularly on these rather weakfish rear brakes. bought 'em fro a vendor on eBay, had 'em in 3 days. There are some very cheap pads out there but I don't trust 'em.

You'll need to sort your calipers of course. The bolts are just hex head metric cap screws. These aren't high spec/ high torque bolts, you can get 'em at any Ace Hardware store, install with some blue loctite.

Detailed instructions to do the job are in the manuals downloadable from Donsy's site

2006 Brutale 910S.... runs like a scalded assed ape.

I'm also a vote for the EBC HH pads based on recommendations on here. Nice feel and bite both on the track and road but not a specialist at either.

Thumbs up ?

EBC HH SINTERED PADS all the way.....

not abrasive like stock Brembo pads (front)

and they last!!!!?

My RSVR went 8,000 mi on stock Brembo pads every time

the Brutale is coming up on 34,000 mi and they're ~50% gone (fronts)

Vick PM me an address and I'll send a bolt or come on down this weekend
