Bought a 750S // Fork Seal Job

Hey guys,

new to MV I bought this lovely piece of Italian art last week
It was sitting a lot in its former life, has only done 7500km since 2004 ...
After changing brake/clutch fluids and doing a proper clean up I took her on a ride yesterday. What a characterfull and well balanced bike! Gets me tons of fun.
Next I have to do the leaking fork seals. Whilst replacing seals and dust covers would you recommend on also replacing these bushes (two on top):

THX to you
Georg

If the mileage is correct, no don't waste money on bushes, a seal and dust cover plus fresh oil is all it will need. Enjoy the Brute, they are great fun.

I replaced the bushings also while doing mine, but I'm at 20K miles.

Cheers

Might be a bit late Georg but try popping the dust seals down the leg and run a business card or piece of thin plastic between the leg and the fork seal and go around a couple of times. might get a wee bit of oil come out don't worry about that, you might have bits of dead bugs ,dirt or whatever up there which is causing the seals to weep. Seen this work on numerous occasions. Welcome to the forum and congrats on buying the greatest bike ever invented, I might be a bit biased cause I`ve got one myself.

Cheers guys, also for your warm welcome!
The thing is, it took 6 weeks now for my MV dealer to get the seals and in the meantime they somehow healed themselves
I guess the bike was bit angry for being driven too less by the previous owner, so it started leaking a bit to gather attention
So now I have a bone dry fork and a set of seals on stock. Not that bad either...

Have a good day

Glad to hear it sorted itself. FWIW, you don't have to go to an MV dealer for those fork seals, they're available all over the place, as are many other service items on the bike.
