Ride height measurement

Hi, Is there an established accurate way to measure ride height without the gauge?

If a ride height tool is needed, does anyone in Oz have one I can borrow? I will pay postage both ways. I'm east coast.

I may have the ability to have some fabricated here locally if I can get my hands on an original.... Need to chat to a mate who works in fabrication. No promises

I think yes you need the tool. However There isnt some geometric formula about the factory ride height that will help us acheive riding perfection so I wouldnt bother fabricating loads of them. All the best with the search.

Understood. I'm just alittle OCD and would like to check as the previous owner had some interesting suspension settings.

Donsy should be able to help you out.
If not, I have a loaner tool...in the US of A.
I would ship it to you at your cost...as long as you ship it back.

Thanks, I will see what I can do locally. I wouldn't ask you to post it all the way over here.

Thanks Mate, I'm up your way next month taking the girls up to visit family (I'm from Brissie). We will be on the Gold Coast, in Brissie and at Noosa at various times so I probably have you covered where ever you are Perhaps I could drop over and pick it up and ship it back when I'm done? Atleast then you will have a face to put to them name. I will drop you a PM before I leave to head up.

I will look after it like it is my own.

Thanks for being so generous.

Glenn;

The problem is that there is no reliable point to measure to.......

F4 & B4 sub frames are different...... after some use Mono Posto and Bi Posto sub

frames will be different (depending on the size of the pillion)

There was a lot of interest years ago so I made a batch.......

Took me 5+ years to sell them off

I don't know the dimensions at all, my friend mapped an original with his CNC

machining center and sent the file to the laser cutters never saw it

I won't be making anymore....... couldn't get anyone to prepay at a discount price either
