F4 rims on F3

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if rims from a 2007 F4 1000 will fit a F3?

I have found a set reasonable cheap and love the star pattern rim

From what I can see the F4 1000 rear rims are 6" x 17" vs the F3 5.5" x 17" will the extra 12.7mm cause clearance issues?

Front seems to be the same dimension 3.5" x 17" but will the rotors line up?

I think that there is a whole thread on this in the FAQ or tips section
....

What we've got here, is failure to communicate.

Of course, now I can't find it/

Dons, isn't there a " What wheels fit across what bikes with the proper spacers" type thread around here somewhere>?

I did do a search and couldn't find anything hence the post, I understand people get frustrated with the same questions being asked over and over again

The rear will fit without problems, can't say for sure about the front as I'm not sure which bearings /axle and spacer are used on the F3 these days Chris.

Good on ya! I searched too and didn't find what I was looking for. I swear there was a thread about it

If you're using the search function, you're a few steps ahead of average

You can always bite the bullet and be the first to try.

If you do, take lots of pics and post up your results
