factory track set up

I have a 2007 Brutale 910R that I need to set back to "track setting" for the rear suspension for an upcoming event. I know in the US we are getting the model years one year later, so I just want to make sure I am setting up the rear for the correct year. Is my 07 really a 06 is what I'm trying to get at? Sorry if its a stupid question.

2007:

I think they're pretty much the same bikes....

But look at your VIN number. Count back from the end to the 8th character. That is the year. If it is a 7 you have a 2007 model.

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.
