Quick Quick Brake Bleeding Question

Hi Guys,

I need to bleed my front brakes and bought a mityvac 800 kit to do it.

It looks pretty simple, I just want to clarify before I put spanner on the bike as the manual is a little ambiguous.

When Ive got the vac's hose attached to the bleed nipple, do I loosen the top piece of the bleed nipple or do I loosen the bottom (12mm I think) where the white factory paint is resting on the copper washer. I think its the bottom piece but just really want to make sure before I strip something.

Do not lossen he lower fitting, after attaching the hose, build up vacuum in the mityvac and then lossen the upper 8mm nipple by no more than half a turn. After a few pumps on the vacuum close the 8mm nipple and check fluid level in master cylinder.

Repeat a few times, then switch to other caliperand repeat, use only fresh new dot 4 fluid until you have a firm lever pressure. If your not confident leave it alone.

Top 8mm it is, thanks!

Good thing I asked, my first instinct was the 12mm lower
