Won't start.

Well after having my new ecu with the latest map and my stalling issue resolved now my bike has a hard time starting. Took it out the other day stopped to grab a drink and went to leave and it wouldn't start. Turns over just won't fire. Got it going after a tense 10 mins. Now I go out tonight to see if it starts and it fired right up. Let it come up to temp shut it off and sure enought won't start. Any one else experience this? Was frustrated before with the stalling now just pissed off.

I can not help you out with your issue, but man you got a lemon. I thought I was having troubles with my "malfunction" light coming on. (mechanics recon nothing coming up in computer logs so just a speedo glitch.)

Ya I'm getting to the point that I might just get rid of it. I understand that its a first year bike but it shouldn't be this bad.

I'm in massachusetts. I've talked to MV more than I care to. The last time I brought it to my local mv dealer they fried the ecu and had to wait 3 weeks for a new one to come from Italy. The next closest MV dealer is in Pennsylvania. I don't know if ill get rid of it. Right now its just my frustration talking.

Hi Unit, as U might remember I had the same problems as U in regards to the stalling. All I can say: Don't bother with the Dealers any more, contact the Importer. This helped in my case, because the importer fixed my issue with the B3 800 (something to do with the Throttle Body not being calibrated right).

You could ask your dealer to provide U the number!

Unit,
It seems I'm now in the same boat you are/where . My ECU cooked itself and I'm now running on my new one. So now when I get it warm it won't start. I got it started after 10 button pushes and then when it was running it was missing really bad. I turned it off and 7 button pushes later it came to life. Did you ever get this problem resolved, if so how?

No. Hasn't been fixed yet. Was supposed to bring it to the dealer to have them check for error codes but I've been sick plus the weather is not cooperating. PM me when you get a chance.

Starts ok cold, won't start hot? Sounds like the ECU is not correcting for coolant temp...since it starts ok cold and runs ok once started I would have to think it is a sensor or map problem. Hope the dealer has the knowledge of the diagnostic software needed to figure it out....

I used to be fast....now I just dream about it.
