Phone mount Dragster RR 2019

Hi all,

I know that there is another thread about GPS/Phone mount going on, but I was looking for something a little bit specific to the 2018/2019 Dragster.
With the (very) special handlebars setup we have on the Dragster, I was wondering if somebody found a good solution to mount their phone/GPS?

Thanks for your help.

I've noticed that on the Euro4 model there is now a little space on the handlebar to fit some sort of mount. Im not with my bike at the mo, but have a look. The older one didnt have much space on the bars

"Universal" Ram Mount ball on an U bolt that graced about 15 motorcycles handlebars up to now.

Alternative
Ram Mount 1 inch ball that screws on existing bolt like the clutch or brake lever grip.

you were right, I just checked on the bike and looks like there would be enough room to fit some sort of mount. Looks like a good option. I will do some research and post an update when I find something nice.

I've used this one in the past and it fits perfectly in the handlebar mount.

I have been using the Quadlock mount on both my bikes for some time now and it works pretty well. https://www.quadlockcase.com/collections/shop-moto

I work on mobile HW for a living. I have ruined a couple phones by mounting them to my bikes. Phones aren't really designed to endure the intensity and frequency of vibrations for really any period of time like they are subjected to when hard mounted to a motorcycle.

I highly recommend not mounting them to the handle bars unless you have some amazing dampening material. I have used the form fitted RAM mounts and had another coworker use the X-Grip. We both ruined some components on our phones.

Depending on what phone you're talking about too, thats risking upwards of $1000. I recommend tank bag with phone visible through the top or a bluetooth headset like a SENA to listen to directions (or waze where the cops are).

Use a cheap phone or an hardened phone.
Riding a motorcycle, better have the screen closer to the line of sight.

Depending on the bike natürlich.
A Dragster isn't one you want your gaze to wander away from the road.

Depending where you ride.

Western Macronistan, slowing down for waze radar trap, puerile move.
Radar gun displays only a speed, any speed, no photo.
Waze or not, plod wants to nab a motorcycle, he nabs you.

Good tip.

Now if the mount clears the tank bag...
