Don't think that is correct for the F3. I have an F3 800 MY16 and it has a Black Engine, definitely Euro 3 (102db).

the homologation number on mine says e3*2002/24*0597*02
e3 meaning euro 3??? yet dB(A) is at 95.

Could it be a classified as a euro 3 engine, yet have the euro 4 parts?

Bike was litteraly ordered in June/July during the hard times MV had and build in September 2nd half of the year when ModelYear 2017 begins.

Not sure. My bike was registered between 1st September 2015 through to the end of February 2016, when I bought it I was told by the dealer that it was a MY16 (identifiable by the black engine casing I was told). The homologation number on mine says e3*2002/24*0587, 102 dB(A)- 6500.

Yeah I knew that. We had that discussion few months ago haha.

But what I didnt/dont know for sure is if I have a euro 4 engine in it. And like to know since Euro 4 has improved internal engine parts from normal R&D.

Here is a good article about Euro4 and emissions standards on motorcycles in general:

https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocia...o4-really-mean

I suspect that your engine would have the latest internals, since it is unlikely MV would change the parts list mid-production....but you never know.

Looking at parts catalogs, a change in specification mid-production is usually noted with a engine number stop and start point along with part number change. We see that throughout MV's parts catalogs, sometimes creating confusion about which part to order.

Perhaps contacting the factory with your question (does my engine have the latest parts?) would yield an answer.

Looking at a QD for my 15 Dragster. Ebay listings ask if Euro 3 or Euro 4. Are they interchangeable and if so what is the difference? Thanks.

Pants up, don't loot.

There are physical differences in where the mounting points are located. important to get the Euro3/4 info right for exhaust
