Wrecked Dragster 800 RC

I had the misfortune of wrecking my Dragster back in November. I took it too a local MV Agusta dealer and they are just now finishing the estimate. The amount of damage is about $8,000.

But it seems like the shop does not want to do the repair. Saying how parts will not be in stock for this bike and it will take a long time to repair and it should just be totaled out.

I personally don't care how long it takes to get repaired. Just want to fix the bike.

Anyone recommend a MV Agusta dealer particularly one that is good with repairing these bikes?

I'm willing to ship the bike to a shop that wouldn't mind taking on this task of repairing the bike

They want to total it out and put you in a new one. It’s a good business model for them.

Tell them to fix it. If not call MV Agusta and tell them one of their authorized dealers isn’t honoring service.

That’s where I would go. YMMV.

I would highly recommend Eurocycles.

They are in Tampa and I am pretty sure they have shops other places.

Yeah I was looking at them and a MV dealer in Orlando. I’ll give them both a call.

Is the title going to change to a 'salvage' title?

I don't think so the bike is not a total loss. Its mostly just cosmetic damage.

I don't know how far off base they are when they say it will take a long time. It took me 4 months to get a fuel tank. The dealer maybe just telling you how it is.
I have dealt with Unique Super Bikes in Miami. I only made a purchase from them and they shipped it to me in MA, so I can't vouch for their service/repair, but my experience with them was very good to excellent. The guy you would want to talk to is Leo.

Bikes:

2016 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso
2015 Triumph Street Triple R

Firstly, really sorry to hear you damaged your bike, and such a beautiful one. I hope you came out of the accident ok.
As for your dealer that has the bike, say you want it repaired but get a realistic estimate of how long the parts will take to arrive from MV, again you have a special so expect a delay. Then take this info to the other dealers mentioned and compare. If they say the same thing the choice is down to you who you choose to rebuild your bike.

MV F4 750 EVO3 2003
MV Brutale 910s 2007
Honda VFR800 1998
