Dragster 800 RR MY2018 - Neutral Revving

Question about my recently purchased Brutale Dragster 800 RR MY2018.
It seems my motorcycle does not rev over around 4000rpm?
Once I put the bike in 1st gear and rev it, it is the best sound I have ever heard.

Is there a way I could change the settings so that neutral will give me the same result?
Also, what is causing this?

I know it is not an issue with the bike, but I am relatively new to motorcycles and would like some assistance!

You said you're relatively new to riding a motorcycle.
How old are you, where do you live.

If it doesn't go over 4000 RPM it sounds like a electronic adjusted RPM limiter.

I’m in my early 20’s and ive ridden a YAMAHA MT-07 as my first bike for about 8 months, then switched to my Dragster 800 RR. I reside in Japan.

So if it is an RPM limiter, would I be able to remove the limiter?

The idea i had in mind isn't it since you live in Japan.

To clarify: in neutral you can only rev to 4000rpm, but in 1/2/3/4/5/6 gear you can rev it to 13.000 rpm?

So does that mean Japan has a rev limit to all motorcycles? Or specific to mine?

I have not fully tried it out, but yes, at neutral only around 4000, and from gear 1~6, it goes much higher. Except, I have not fully tested this, so i am not quite sure if it red lines.

Well to actually know if you have a restricted version or not we need to know where the rpm limiter kicks in.
"It goes much higher" isnt detailed information. So when you take a ride and she is all warmed up see where it kicks in.

There is also a chance you have the PIT limiter activated in the menu.
You recieved a manual when you picked up your bike it should explain how to activate/deactivate it. So thats the first thing you can check yourself.

There's a Pit Limiter on a Dragster? When did that happen? (and why would it be applied in neutral...?)

Maybe it has a PIT limiter. Maybe it doesn't.
Those are the first things that came to mind.

Go back to your delivering dealer and have them go over the bike with you.

Have them explain the behavior.
