2017 Brutale 800 Handlebars and Clip-Ons

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in adjusting the ride and feel of my bike by changing the bars to something lower, narrower, and more sharply angled towards the rider, closer to that of a supersport rather than what the bike has now. I realize that because of the gas tank, I couldn't get the same angle, but I'm curious as to what I could do. I know the center mounting area on the Brutale is 1-1/8" (28mm) and I would need spacers or new clamps, given that most bars are 7/8" (22mm).

I found this set of bars at Bellissimoto - Domino Condor Vintage Clubman - but they told me that they likely wouldn't fit well because of the tank.

They suggested the Rizoma Drag Bar but it really doesn't angle back much.

The last one suggested was the Suburban Machine M3 Bar and while it looks good, I'm now wondering if it would also cause problems with the tank and tight turns.

I thought about clip-ons, but it looks like I would have to change my triple clamp entirely.

Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations? I searched the forum a bit and didn't find much - another user had a clip-on project they were working on but given that I was at work, most of the pics didn't load.

You bought the wrong bike mate!

In seriousness, when trying to click links it tells me I cannot connect to servers.(so im not 100% sure if you want a full bar, or clip ons to the suspension.)
So my suggestion is; You live in America and buy all 3 options from RevZilla or a similar kind of motorcycle store with a good return policy and you feel comfortable with.
When arrived try them on 1 by 1 (with some paper or plastic around the bars to still protect them from scratches and whatnot)find the right one for you and return the others?

These are specifically for an MT-09 but they look like they'd fit alright and they have the switch hole drilled. Is that a universal standard for bars or are switch positions unique per manufacturer?

That's what was suggested to me on Reddit and they look superb. 1-1/8" diameter as well so it ought to fit. That's about the type of bar I'm looking for. What do you think?

Here are the other bars I tried to link you:

Of the ones you linked I think the Rizoma drag bar looks the best. Of course I got the Brutale because I wanted a more relaxed riding position than a bike with clip ons.

I agree with crzyhorse.
Other feels like chopper/bobber.

Make sure that when you fit a bar, you dont hit the tank with full lock.
